Thumbelina Zinnia
  • Thumbelina is destined to be the darling of your garden! A 1963 All-America Selections winner, this charming variety may be shorter, but still produces an abundance of cheerful blossoms in a wide range of colors. Zinnias are edible, but have little flavor. The colorful flowers can make a pretty garnish to salads, desserts, cold drinks, or serving trays. (The flower's central disk, while edible, can be bitter.) Zinnias thrive in heat, bloom all season, and are very easy to grow. Each individual flower lasts a very long time on the plant or in a vase. (Source: Botanical Interests)

Plant needs to be repotted to well-draining soil in pot or directly sowed in ground. Prefers bright, direct light -- transplant outdoors when the temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer.
