Burro's Tail
  • Our plants are 1" - 10" (measured at bottom of plant in soil to top petal aka tip of the tail)
    Pots are in terra cotta

Hardy, relatively hands-off succulent with pale grey-green to blue-green and may have a whitish coating on their teardrop-shaped leaves, and is a species of the Crassulaceae, or stonecrop family. Also known as donkey's tail or lamb's tail, and native to Mexico and Central America, can survive very hot, dry temperatures. Plant is slow growing but can have stems that can grow more than 2 feet long, depending on conditions.

Non-toxic, safe for pets; ingestion is still not recommended.

Our varieties are established using a custom soil blend of organic matter and compost.

All of our burro tail plants were originally sourced in San Antonio, Texas.

Thrives in full or partial sunlight and prefers warm, temperate climates. Plant can bloom reddish flowers, but rarely when indoors.

Plant is sensitive to overwatering and prefers soil that is light, airy, and free draining. Recommended to check soil before watering, about every 2 weeks or so, and water at the soil level rather than on the leaves.
