CARE

Our varieties are established using a custom cactus soil blend of organic matter and compost.

Thrives in full or partial sunlight and prefers warm, hot, dry climates.

Recommended to check soil before watering, by sticking a finger into the pot about ½” and watering based on moisture. The smaller the pot, the more frequent the watering, and the larger the pot, the less frequent. When watering, thoroughly soak the plant at the soil level, letting the excess water drain through the drainage hole. Allow soil to dry out between waterings, and be conscious of the season; for example, watering more frequently during the summer and less frequently during the winter/dormant period.

We recommend the plant should change pots when the roots become rootbound in the container (i.e. coming out of the drainage hole, etc.). When upsizing pots, make sure to check the roots, trimming off any unhealthy or dead roots. You can upsize the pot up to two pot sizes as any larger will stress the plant and roots out. We also suggest an organic or natural fertilizer at least twice a year.

EXTRA CARE

This plant grows by producing "pups", which are smaller aloes that can be harvested and repotted in another container.

Dawn’s Harvest establishes our plants using compost and other organic matter, organic soil mixtures, rainwater, aquarium water, compost tea, and other organic and natural off-the-shelf fertilizers to improve our plants' health and nutrition, sticking to our natural and organic cultivation methods.
