Frost Tolerant. A cold-hardy variety of broccoli producing small to medium-sized heads, and part of the plant species, brassica oleracea (wild cabbage). Sow outside 4 - 6 weeks before the last frost, when soil temp is above 40 degrees. Best sown in fall or winter for cool season harvest. This is a hardy, winter variety. Needs full sun and well-drained soil. Crops in the Brassicaceae family prefer similar care and conditions, nicknamed 'brassica'.
Pests: common pests of brassicas are flea beetles and cabbage loopers. Flea beetles can be treated with chili pepper or neem oil sprays. For cabbage worms and loopers, use bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) products.
Harvesting: Recommend harvesting head when it's 3" in diameter.
